Our Philosophy

No one is born listening; it is a learned behavior.  A person grows into becoming a listener. We can be taught to listen.  We can be trained to be effective listeners. The question is our willingness to become better listeners. Indeed, at Guanacaste: The Lead Listening Institute, we firmly believe that everyone is able to improve their listening skills.

Listening is an achievable skill.
Listening is a believable skill.
Listening is a coachable skill.
Listening is a commendable skill.
Listening is a creditable skill.
Listening is a desirable skill.
Listening is a developable skill.
Listening is a doable skill.
Listening is an effectual skill.
Listening is a factual skill.
Listening is a givable skill.
Listening is a knowable skill.

Listening is a learnable skill.
Listening is a memorable skill.
Listening is a practicable skill.
Listening is a teachable skill.
Listening is a trainable skill.

Listening is a lovable skill

The safest space in the world—indeed the most BE-YOU-tiful—is where any person, regardless of age, class, ethnicity, race, religion,

zip code, national origin, or orientation can stop, remove the mask, be real, be themselves, and most of all, be heard, be listened to,

and be understood.

The largest room in the world is the room for listening improvement.

The gift of listening is the gift of a lifetime.
